Gem Salsberg

Gem was raised among forests and wilderness regions throughout Canada, in the seasonally nomadic lifestyle of treeplanting camps. Her main creative mediums are photography, writing and film, with a focus on landscape, people and place.

Gem's multi-disciplinary work has been selected for numerous exhibitions and publications, such as the BC Festival of the Arts, Dawson City International Short Film Festival, Ascent magazine and the Timeless Books compilation "Inspired Lives". She completed a BFA in Intermedia Arts from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, 2002. Currently living in Brooklyn, New York.
